The Wilderness Risk Management Conference is an annual event sponsored by NOLS, Outward Bound, and the Student Conservation Association that provides industry standard education on wilderness risk management. I designed their logo to be professional while simultaneously hinting at the traditions of outdoor adventures. 


Leave No Trace Brochure–

Client: NOLS Custom Education

Designed to give the reader an overview of the Leave No Trace training offered through NOLS Custom Education, I hand-lettered the Leave No Trace Seven Principles and integrated them into the composition.

Working with NOLS Creative, I selected photographs and created Google Display Ads using Photoshop templates for a gap year campaign.



Client: NOLS World Headquarters

As part of the NOLS rebrand, the signage for NOLS World Headquarters is being redesigned. I worked with designers Liz Schultz and Nikole Wohlmacher to identify problems in the existing way-finding system with user testing, decide upon a design direction, and pitch initial concept sketches.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of NOLS, a book on the history of the school was written. I created this infographic of 'fun facts' about the process of making the book. It was printed in an edition of The Leader, NOLS' alumni publication.


Marketing Keynote–

Client: NOLS Marketing and Admissions

As part of NOLS' marketing strategy, NOLS Alumni travel around the United States to colleges and schools. As part of the rebrand, I designed a Keynote template that each NOLS Marketing Representative can personalize. The presentation gives an overview of who NOLS is.

This downloadable PDF gives NOLS students and instructors a comprehensive overview of the objectives of each type of NOLS course. It is available for download on the NOLS website.


A Worthy Expedition Marketing Card–

Client: NOLS Curriculum

This card was created to market the NOLS History book, written in honor of NOLS' 50th anniversary. The card was placed in packages customers of the NOLS Store received.
